Does anyone have a good weather program for FS2004 they can recommend?

I'm thinking of upgrading to a newer sim, like the new Lockheed version, Prepar 3D. I've tried FSX and found it to be a classic case of attempting to make FS2004 better but making a mess of it instead. Do any of the usual classics work in it P3D? If not, it seems you have to buy payware for it, and a fleet of classics can get expensive. Any thoughts?

I used Active Sky & REX for FS9, and love them.
Active Sky give you more info about the meteorological conditions than REX, but REX changes the way clouds looks and it's simply AMAZING!

Here you have 3 screenshots of my FS9 when it was using REX.

P.S.: The box with info in the screenshots it's the AMAZING FSPassengers. A MUST if you fly offline (and online). It's "fills" your plane with passengers and you need to take care of them. A GREAT addon.

AS16 and REX Skyforce for weather in P3Dv4. Miltons C-47 works Jens Viscounts and a couple of his Shorts Flying boats work. You get the JF Connie asdefault and the Lockheed L10 as well. The Freeware Ambassador works. If you have FSX the default aircraft work. If you go over the the SOH site there are a few aircraft being adapted for P3Dv4. Otherwise payware for things like dc4, 6 AND 7.

For sake of variety, I use FSGRW with FS9. It is simple to use and it will work for FS9, X-Plane, FSX and P3D from the one purchase.
I also have FSX with many ORBX scenery and airports and its growing cobwebs. I keep going back to FS9 for its smooth, simple operation. It just looks and feels better.

That works for me. 8-)
